I have been " moaning " in here for a while because after clerance I heven't been

able to feel well and stable: some days I feel very good, but most of the time I

don't. Lately I was also having very high heart rate and got quite scared (I am

a bit better now, but it is still a bit high). So, finally I got the labs Val

advised me to get and I am looking forwards to see if we can identify the

problem.

adrenals:

(more than 24 hours salt fasting /I also didn't take any potassium during that

period: recently I had been supplementing 1200 potassium and half tsp of sea

salt twice a day).

I was supplementing 12.5 HC when I took the test (now I am taking 17.5 because I

was getting symptoms of low cortisol).

I Took the test at 8.30 a.m., day 4 of my cycle:

Aldosterone: 21.3 ng/dl (7-30)

renin: 1.4 ng/ml/h. (0.15-3.95)

ACTH serum: 16.1 pg/mL (normaity range: less than 46.00)

cortisol: 16.82 ug/dL (6.03-30.15)

Potassium: 4.3 mEq/L (3.5-5.5)

Sodium: 143 mEq/L (135-155)

I know serum cortisol is not considered helpful when supplementing, but my

doctor always asks me for it...

Iron Panel:

(Was done just after finnishing the period)

Iron: 94.0 mcg/dl (40-140)

Transferrin: 202 mg/dl (200-350)

TIBC: 296 ug/dl (245.52-412.92)

Ferritin: 62.8 ng/mL

sat-Transferrin: 31.7 % (20-50)

I am actually surprised ferritin is that low because just after clearance it was

120, and then I stoped iron supplementation.

How does this look?

I don't understand everything but I get the impresion adrenals are quite O.K.

and is the iron that can be causing the problems... Am I right?

Thanks,
