Guest guest
hi everyone I just posted something on the adrenal board about my recent discovery that food sensitivity, particularly to fructose and gluten, are behind my temp. lowness and instability and my high pulse. When I went on the elimination diet and cut out tons of types of foods, my temps finally came up and stabilized. Here is the post on the board, which is more detailed, fyi http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/message/1761\ 88 I am very hypo now, as my free t3 is only 2.7 (rr 2-4.4) and my T4 and TSH are both very low. I am considering adding in some synthroid to my cytomel, as well as raising my cytomel dose. The reason I am thinking this might work is because now I am thinking that maybe my RT3 problem stems from food sensitivity. Is it possible that food sensitivity could be the main culprit behind my RT3 problem? Or is it most likely that this is only affecting my adrenals, but not so much my thyroid? Thanks Liz
Guest guest
Glucose dysregulation is a HUGE cause of RT3 and the foods you are reating to are ones thta ar HUGE no no's when dealign with adrenal issues due to glucose dysregulation . Thsiis why onthe adrenals group you wil hear me tellign folks over & over agian that a low carb high protein and fat diet is VERY helpful for healing adrn eals. Fructose and honey are both SUGARS the fatest and worst carbs on the planet for peole wiht weak adrneals. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > hi everyone > I just posted something on the adrenal board about my recent discovery that food sensitivity, particularly to fructose and gluten, are behind my temp. lowness and instability and my high pulse. Guest guest
I know Val commented to you but I did want to tell you that I have food sensitivities and a sulfite issue and gluten intolerance. If I have something that I cannot tolerate, my pulse will shoot up and my temps will go down. It is a very real issue.VeniziaSubject: RT3 from food sensitivity? To: RT3_T3 Date: Friday, June 25, 2010, 7:45 PM hi everyone I just posted something on the adrenal board about my recent discovery that food sensitivity, particularly to fructose and gluten, are behind my temp. lowness and instability and my high pulse. Guest guest
Yeah, I know I have read it a million times, but I think i just didn't believe it until I was desperate enough to really regulate the foods I ate to find out. It is pretty drastic. I also have high D-lactic acid in my urine, which is a marker of fructose intolerance, meaning honey is the worst of both worlds for me. I am really hoping I can tolerate some T4. At least I will find out. Guest guest
Hi Venezia, Do you think that your sensitivities are the cause of the RT3 issues? Or just another issue you are dealing with that complicates matters? My heart rate goes up almost immediately after I eat sugar. I still crave it a lot, too. Bummer. Guest guest
Hi Liz,No I do not think they are the cause but I can't be 100% sure. I have my Rt3 under control now and I do eat foods I shouldn't....no self control...LOL. I think one cause was that I was taking too much T4 (synthroid) because I never felt good on it, I kept taking more thinking I needed it when the case was synthroid was not working for me, one, because it is not a good medication and two, synthroid has sulfites in it which was doing a real number on me having a sulfite sensitivity. Have you checked into the possibility that you have a sulfite issue? There is a group for sulfite sensitivities if your interested let me know. Having said all this, it is possible to clear your Rt3 having food sensitivities. Hang in there. Val will be your life line. She is mine.VeniziaSubject: Re: RT3 from food sensitivity? To: RT3_T3 Date: Friday, June 25, 2010, 8:18 PM Hi Venezia, Do you think that your sensitivities are the cause of the RT3 issues? Guest guest
Hey Venezia Oh, girl, Val's been my lifeline for a long time now! LOL :-) I had the initial RT3 problem over a year ago, and I just NOW figured out the food stuff! Duh. I haven't been able to post much in the last few months because I have been too busy. I have no self control, too, which is why I worry about this problem, actually! What if I start feeling better, then I start eating sweets again and crash? I have looked in to the sulfites issue a little bit. It could be a problem. It would not surprise me. I have blood and urine test evidence of leaky gut syndrome, which makes a lot of other stuff a problem, because molecules (or whatever) of undigested stuff gets into the blood and wreaks havoc, like the d-lactic acid I have too much of, which causes anxiety and other problems. Do you think that synthroid is simply bad T4 medication? Are you on any T4 at all now? If so, which kind, and how much are you on? I really want to try a little bit of T4 with my cytomel but I am not sure which way to go. I was worried the synthroid might have gluten or lactose in it (and now the sulfite thing). Do you know if it does? Thanks Liz > > > > > > From: lizdoubleu <wliz@> > > > Subject: RT3 from food sensitivity? > > > To: RT3_T3 > > > Date: Friday, June 25, 2010, 7:45 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > hi everyone > > > > > > I just posted something on the adrenal board about my recent discovery that food sensitivity, particularly to fructose and gluten, are behind my temp. lowness and instability and my high pulse. Guest guest
Liz,This link talks about lactose in Synthroid. <http://thyroid.about.com/od/synthroid/a/acacia-lactose.htm>I have decided to stay on T3 only ( Cytomel) I personally would not go back on Synthroid. With the things that are in it, not worth the risk, beside the fact most people need both T4/T3 meds. Not just T4. T4 is just a storage hormone so my doctor felt if I felt better on T3 only, she saw no reason to go back to a T4/T3 medication.if you google "ingredients in synthroid" you will come up with several links that talk about allergies to what is in synthroid.VeniziaFrom: lizdoubleu Subject: Re: RT3 from food sensitivity? To: RT3_T3 Date: Friday, June 25, 2010, 10:39 PM Hey Venezia Oh, girl, Val's been my lifeline for a long time now!
