Guest guest
Joint pain is a known hypo symptom, and Synthroid (T4-only) keeps many people hypo. Thigh weakness may be part of the overall weakness that is also a hypo symptom. Abdominal pain I don't know about. General info on how Synthroid keeps many people hypo: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/t4-only-meds-dont-work/ RT3-specific info on how Synthroid keeps many people hypo: http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/whatis.htm List of hypo symptoms: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/long-and-pathetic/ > > > > > > ----- Forwarded Message ---- > > To: rt3_t3 > Sent: Fri, June 25, 2010 8:40:56 AM > Subject: thyroid meds > > Could u list some reasons why taking synthroid would cause joint pain, thigh weakness, abdominal pain. What dose of T4 and how long had you been on it?? I have a lot less miscellaneous aches than when I was on Natural now I am on T3 only. What was your FT4, FT3, and RT3 on the most recent labs?? Guest guest
Saliva results: DHEA 3.3 (2-23) morning 5.9 (3.7-9.5) noon 1.9(1.2-3) afternoon 1.1 (0.6-1.9) night 0.7 (0.4-1.0) 2.5 weeks ago i had blood drawn when I was not on any thyroid meds for 2 weeks. These were the results--cortisol 230 pm blood 4 ug/dl (2-13), Free T4 0.3 (0.73-1.95), Free T3 1.2 (2.3-4.2), TSH 16.1 (.3-5.1)-- i had thyroid cancer so we want my tsh to be <0.025.; Reverse T3 105 (90-350) My biggest complaints are severe incapacitating fatigue, abdominal pain, occasional heart palpitations, inability to take vitamins or eat junk food without having shaking or heart racing...... all other labs are good as far as iron, ferritin, liver, kidney, etc. We are trying to figure out if it is adrenals, but so far nothing has pointed that way. I don't know how to determine if it is and i don't want to go on steroids if i don't need them.
