Guest guest
Hi Pip, I have now been banded for a week too. I am also not so enthused about eating at the moment. I cant actually yet distinguish if I am hungry or full yet although I too would kill for a piece of toast as well. I have had no pain killers since the first two hours after the operation. Jelly is also a good alternative I have found to the boredom of the food. Also I had boiled eggs yesterday for dinner. Very runny and only the yolks. Have you lost much this week? How are your scars healing? If you want to email me personally you can at AWARD3@.... I am very interested to know how someone else is going at the same time as me. Hope to hear from you soon. Hello all the newbies! Hi to everyone, specially the newbies - I've now been banded 1 week and would kill for a piece of toast but haven't strayed so far. I'm a little surprised at how emotional I've been feeling but I believe this can happen with anaesthetics. How's everyone else (newbies) doing with the liquid diet? I seem to have been lucky having not terribly much pain (and not a suppository in sight). My pain in hospital was managed with Capadex capsules which I had a couple of times when I came out of hospital but haven't really needed since. I can't say I'm that enthused about eating at present but then of course not eating makes you tired so I've been trying to tempt myself with some of those flavoured dairy snacks. I'd love to get some feedback from other newbies! Pipozband website: http://www.ozband.com

Guest guest
hi pip! being banded 5 days so far I know how you feel! I think it's been a strange experience for me with the liquids for me but living on apple puree (and other tasty baby food tins) and the strawberry wave it isn't too bad I dont know when I will ever be able to drink fizzy drinks again? I bought a 300ml diet coke left it to sit for a couple of hours to de fizz and it still took me 3 days to drink it! *lol* I've been alright with eating I just am not sure if I am supposed to eat more or less? your lucky you didn't get supposotories but they weren't that bad after the first couple of submerines submerged *lol* I went and got my hair cut today and my first driving attempt....lol I soooooo need power steering!!!!! I'm happy with the recovery so far although tuesday I wondered what the heck I had got myself into! but I'm sure with time I'll feel great and be a happy camper! Leex x x x p.s emotional lol thats an understatement yesterday I was watching beauty and the beast and the guy on it was annoying me and I started to cry!!! > >Reply-To: ozband >To: ozband > >Subject: Hello all the newbies! >Date: Thu, 5 Jul 2001 17:45:07 +0930 > >Hi to everyone, specially the newbies - I've now been banded 1 week and >would kill for a piece of toast but haven't strayed so far. Guest guest
Thanks Lee - coincidence?... I tried the diet coke thing too - left it until it was completely flat and still felt a bit gassy - drank it over a couple of days also! Had my first day back at work yesterday and was dog-tired of course but it wasn't too bad as Fridays are always slower. The burping seems to be tailing off now (I was starting to think it was a permanent feature!) I'm not sure if we are supposed to eat specific amounts - my instructions stated minimums not maximums, although I have been satisfied to eat very little by comparison. I weighed myself on the linen scales at work and found I had lost 8.5 kg in 8 days!!! Guest guest
Pip & PLEASE DON'T have your conversation re your scars, diet or feelings just amongst yourselves. We non banded need to hear it all.
