Welcome! Your dose of 25 mcg cynomel per day is correct, starting from 2 grains

Natural Thyroid. As per Nick's website:

http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/starting1.htm

Some folks find 4x/day dosing works fine; I have adrenal issues and do better on

5x/day.

Have you graphed your temps? This provides useful info on adrenal status,

here's the link:

http://www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-temperature-graph

in summary:

low but steady temps = hypothyroid

low, unstable temps = hypothyroid + adrenal problems

unstable temps = adrenal problems

It is usually recommended here to deal with adrenal problems, if present, to

achieve stable temps before starting T3.

For more info on the cortisol/adrenal/temp stability aspects, there's an

" adrenals " group that has good info, here's the link:

Sounds like you are on the right track with the iron, a ferritin under 50 can

cause T3 intolerance:

" If your ferritin is under 50 you will need to supplement iron heavily and may

get adverse effects on taking more than a very small amount of T3. "

from:

http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm

Hope this helps.

Oh thanks!

Yes, I've been doing the Dr. Rind temperature thing for about 2 months, and I

seem to stay around 97.9-98.1.

So yeah, I'm keeping my eye on that.

But do you have any recommendations concerning my saliva test? Like what kind of

adrenal support do my results merit? I don't think I'm bad enough for HC, but I

just don't know...

And what dosages would you suggest?

Thanks for all your help! I sooo appreciate it!
