Guest guest
Welcome! Your dose of 25 mcg cynomel per day is correct, starting from 2 grains Natural Thyroid. As per Nick's website: http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/starting1.htm Some folks find 4x/day dosing works fine; I have adrenal issues and do better on 5x/day. Have you graphed your temps? This provides useful info on adrenal status, here's the link: http://www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-temperature-graph in summary: low but steady temps = hypothyroid low, unstable temps = hypothyroid + adrenal problems unstable temps = adrenal problems It is usually recommended here to deal with adrenal problems, if present, to achieve stable temps before starting T3. For more info on the cortisol/adrenal/temp stability aspects, there's an " adrenals " group that has good info, here's the link: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ Sounds like you are on the right track with the iron, a ferritin under 50 can cause T3 intolerance: " If your ferritin is under 50 you will need to supplement iron heavily and may get adverse effects on taking more than a very small amount of T3. " from: http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm Hope this helps. > > Hi all! > > I'm new to this site--thanks for letting me join! > > I'm a 29 yr old female with Hashi's/AF/low ferritin. > Had 2 iron ivs last week and just had my blood taken this morning to check iron levels. Guest guest
Oh thanks! Yes, I've been doing the Dr. Rind temperature thing for about 2 months, and I seem to stay around 97.9-98.1. So yeah, I'm keeping my eye on that. But do you have any recommendations concerning my saliva test? Like what kind of adrenal support do my results merit? I don't think I'm bad enough for HC, but I just don't know... And what dosages would you suggest? Thanks for all your help! I sooo appreciate it! > > > > Hi all! > > > > I'm new to this site--thanks for letting me join! > > > > I'm a 29 yr old female with Hashi's/AF/low ferritin. > > Had 2 iron ivs last week and just had my blood taken this morning to check iron levels.
