I just wanted to add that I took 12.5mcg of Cytomel this morning when I first

woke up and everything went south and I have been feeling horrible. I have other

days where I felt like this so I don't know if it is from the Cytomel or not.

This was day 7 for me of taking 12.5mcg's in the morning. I was going to

increase it tomorrow with another 12.5 in the evening. Don't know what to do.

That is why I was wondering about this " Pooling " mentioned on the group.

Pooling thyroud has no symptoms except you do nto get UN-hypothyroid at

any dose and your serum levels get higher and higher. Thsi can happen

wiht low cortils or low iron as BOTH are needed to utilize T3. Also if

your RT3 is too high as 3hen we first start treating wiht T3, the

receptors are blocked wiht RT3 and the T3 has no place to go so it pools

inthe blood.

Is this pooling that same as the term " Dump " ? Cause I read that can be most

unplesant. My ferritin is good at 78 and my Rt3 ratio is 8.22. I just feel so

bad like I am going to die. Have some anxiety and just the most lousy feeling

that I cannot explain.

yes, here is the latest done just this month.

Iron Total....121....40-160

Iron Binding Capacity.....281.....250-450

% Saturation.....43......15-50 %

Ferritin.....78......20-288

Dr. Henry says these numbers are just fine.

Having read this I'm worried. I've been taking T3 only for 5 weeks and my

temperatures have barely changed. My pulse has gone up though, from 60 to 80.

Would this indicate pooling?

Depends how much you are on. There may well be a buildup behind the

RT3 that brings us here but it will clear after long enough without T4

in the system.

Until you clear you will have resistance and hence it's pretty normal

to end up with some pooling or end up feeling hypo while waiting.

It is quite normal for temps to not change while clearing RT3. You have

to remember the RT3 has to move OUT of the receptors before the T3 can

work, and to do this FIRST oyu have to take enough T3 to supress your

own thyroid produciton of T4. It takes time.
