Guest guest
Hey guys, I've been doing the 's RT3 protocol using RT3 and it's not working for me so I want to switch to something more similar to what you guys are using. I've gone up to 75mcg/day from 0 in the 5 days. It turns out I'm a one day compensator. Everytime I up the dose 15mcg/day my temp goes to 98.6(I feel great for a few hours) and then by the end of the day it's back down to 97.2 or so. My body automatically compensates for new doses very fast. says people who are one day compensators have the most problems on his system and need to raise dose very fast to avoid side effects. So if I don't raise the dose very fast, the T3 will just suppress me and make me hypo. Can I raise the dose fast and fully suppress my system and get temp to 98.6 on cytomel? How big of a dose will I need to fully suppress my system and clear hypo symptoms? Also, I don't understand why the multiple dosing is required. The cortisol explanation on the site doesn't make sense. I thought the half life of T3 was nearly 2.5 days? Does the cytomel have to be taken at the exact same times each day? How strict do you have to be? I'm just worried If I'll be able to stick to such a strict regimen.
Guest guest
> Hey guys, I've been doing the 's RT3 protocol using RT3 and it's not working for me We don't hear too many long-term good results with 's protocol. > Can I raise the dose fast Not sure what calls " fast " . Here we usually raise the dose 6.25 every 3 to 5 days > and fully suppress my system and get temp to 98.6 on cytomel? Yes. Relief from hypo symptoms and good temperatures have been achieved by many here, including group owner and Moderator Nick. > Also, I don't understand why the multiple dosing is required. To quote Val: " T3 peaks in about 4 hours then by 6 it is starting to reduce. The goal of multidosing is to get stable levels all day and night. " from her post: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/43585 > How big of a dose will I need to fully suppress my system and clear hypo symptoms? It varies from person to person. Many find 75mcg will do the job. Here's links posts from Val on the subject: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/40546 http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/40588 > Does the cytomel have to be taken at the exact same times each day? No. That is a 's idea which we have not found to be useful. > How strict do you have to be? An hour off either way doesn't seem to affect things too much. Also, different dosing schedules work better for different people; Val doses 4x a day (1st thing in AM, 12 noon, 4 pm, bedtime), Nick doses 5 times a day (7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, Bed time as I put the light out.) I think it is worth trying both to see which works better. > I'm just worried If I'll be able to stick to such a strict regimen. I keep my Cynomel in a little " Altoids " tin, and dissolve my dose under my tongue about every 4 hours or so. It's been pretty easy that way. Adrenals and iron status must be checked before starting T3.
