Guest guest
I posted this as part of another question but thought it might do better as it's own thread. My pulse seems to me to be rather rapid. It ranges between 85 and 100--on the lower end when I have supplemented heavily with sea salt (2t+ per day or so). I am 43, 50 pounds overweight, and not terribly active for about a year, although I am planning to start exercising again soon since my adrenals seem to be shaping up. I worry about increasing T3 with a rapid pulse. BP is normal and stable, temps stable, basal 98'ish, daily average 98.5. I am in week 18 of T3 only but the first 14 weeks were SRT3. I am currently at 68.75 but am getting hypo symptoms between doses. Any thoughts/suggestions? For reference, most recent labs (06/14/10) on 62.5 mcg cynomel and Isocort 4-3-2-1 (no meds morning of blood draw). Iron (will reduce supps from 170mg EI to 42.5mg): Iron, total: 160 (40-175 mcg/dL) Iron binding capacity: 345 (250-450 mcg/dL) % saturation: 46 (15-50%) Ferritin: 72 Electrolytes (will increase sea salt to 2t per day): Sodium: 140 (135-146 mmol/L) Potassium: 4.2 (3.5-5.3 mmol/L) Thyroid: TSH: 0.02 mIU/L T3, free: 449 (230-420 pg/dL) **per Val this still needs to go UP Reverse T3 on 04/06/10: 95 (90-350 pg/ml) FT4 on 01/20/10: 1.2 (0.8-1.8 ng/dl) in LA
Guest guest
I would say you need to supply your body wiht salt in a more steady fashion liek putting a pinch in all the water you drink all day. When pulse responds to salt it measn that lwo sodium is the cause of your hoigh pulse. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > I posted this as part of another question but thought it might do better as it's own thread. Guest guest
I normally put salt in all the water that I drink, and I drink about 5-6 liters per day (thus the 2-3t salt). So for the last couple of days I have been taking EXTRA salt up to 3-4t per day and I am not seeing any clear improvement in my heartrate. Pulse is still running 92-100, at rest. What is really confusing me is that if I try to drop my T3 dose, I get all sorts of hypo symptoms, air hunger being the worst. I am currently at 68.75 dosed 18.75/12.5x4 at 5am/9am/1pm/5pm and lights out. I tried both dropping it to 12.5x5 (62.5) and dosing more frequently 12.5x5/6.25 but neither seems to help. Today the air hunger is even worse so I have dosed 18.75/12.5/18.75 so far and am planning 12.5/12.5 for my last 2 doses for a total of 75mcg. The 18.75 seems to help with the air hunger. Blood levels indicate that RT3 is clearing but FT3 could be higher. Iron levels are good. Cortisol is weak but not horrible and is being supported by Isocort in a 4-3-2-1 dosing pattern. Have my receptors cleared and I need to go down to 50 then slowly come back up? Do I need more adrenal support? Should I just chill out and not worry about my pulse? Any thoughts? Thanks for the help! in LA > > I posted this as part of another question but thought it might do better as it's own thread. My pulse seems to me to be rather rapid. Guest guest
oK have you tried reducing HC? Or are you on adrenal support? Sometimes when clearance happens the need for coritols replacement drop pretty dramatically. I messe dwiht th eT3 dose for several week sbefore figuring out it was high cortisol causin gmy too high pulse. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > I normally put salt in all the water that I drink, and I drink about 5-6 liters per day (thus the 2-3t salt). Guest guest
Supporting adrenals with Isocort, 4-3-2-1. I will try 3-2-1-1 and see if that makes any difference. Let me know if you disagree with that plan. The one at bedtime really seems to help the sleep. And I'll back off on the salt a bit too! lol > >> > >>> I posted this as part of another question but thought it might do better as it's own thread. My pulse seems to me to be rather rapid.
