Guest guest
Hi there, I am concerned that I have an RT3 issue but was informed that they don't test RT3 in Ontario anymore. What should I do? I have been hypothyroid for 13 years and on Synthroid for that time. I am extremely fatigued and have a ton of other hypo symptoms. My cortisol is a little low and I am being treated for that. Here are my lab results. Thanks in advance. Magnesium .79 low (0.65-1.05) Urate 446 (120-400) CK 350 (Below 170) LDL cholesterol elevated CHOL/HDL Ratio Elevated Vit C low Zinc low DHEA Sulphate 5.6 (<7.3) CRP 26.5 (<1.0) Anti thyroid antibodies negetive Vit B12 low Iron ok Vitamin D low Progesteron low TSH 2.14 (.30-4.7) T4 Free 18.6 (9.1-23.8) Free T3 5.2 (2.5-5.7)
Guest guest
Vit B12 220 (>131) Ferritin 81 (13-145) Should I treat my low cortisol/adrenals first? Or T3 Resistance first? Or both at the same time? How exactly do I self treat my RT3 if I don't have a doc. on board? Guest guest
OK with your ferriitn looking OK I would stil suggest a complete iron panel. Thsi would include Serum Iron, TIBC, and Transferrin Saturatioon which is a % number. This si vital to uitlizing T3 well and to stoppign RT3 production. You would need ot address adrenls first and once you have stable temps using Dr Rind''s temp graphing method explained here: http://faqhelp.webs.com/temperatures.htm Then you can start T3 onyl. We have sources if oyu need them for T3 and adrenal support. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Vit B12 220 (>131) > Ferritin 81 (13-145) > > Should I treat my low cortisol/adrenals first?
