Guest guest
No, Val, my mother doesn't take blood pressure medication. I doubt if the doctors will test renin and aldosterone. I just spoke to a nurse at the nursing home. The doctor wants to do more testing to find out the cause of the 5.2(high) potassium. Do you think it is dangerous to wait till tomorrow for the testing? i am wondering if she should be sent to the hospital. I should also mention that she hasn't been eating or drinking much- the food is awful! I am concerned that she may be dehydrated! Thanks so much Val! Jo S. Guest guest
Dehydration may be the cause of high potassium. And I would think Kidney values and aldosterone would need ot be tested in the procedure of finding the high potassium cause. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > No, Val, my mother doesn't take blood pressure medication. > > I doubt if the doctors will test renin and aldosterone. > > I just spoke to a nurse at the nursing home. > The doctor wants to do more testing to find out the cause of the > 5.2(high) potassium. > > Do you think it is dangerous to wait till tomorrow for the testing? > i am wondering if she should be sent to the hospital. > I should also mention that she hasn't been eating or drinking much- > the food is awful! > > I am concerned that she may be dehydrated! > > Thanks so much Val! > > Jo S. > > > > ------------------------------------ > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences.
