Guest guest
Though your ratio is not bad it is because you have had so much RT3 for so long that oyur T3 you are takign is simply pooling in your blood not gettign ot the receptors and thus not doing you any good, ANYtime Rt3 is over range it is a real problem. However, your low iorn will prevent you doing well switching to striahgt T3, you really need some serious iorn help here. I would suggest trying ot get an iron IV but before ou do thtat oyu wil need ot STOP ALL thyroi dmeds for at least a ocuple weeks ot allow those levels ot come down so all doesn;t dump into the cells at once form the iV iron. Or if no IV availabnle, you cna reduce thyroid meds GREATLY say no more than 1 grain naturla until you get your iron up. Your ferritin is elevated falsely due ot inflammaiton and your iron levels are pitifully low showing anemia. You will need 150-200mg elemental iroin a day to bring those levels u and sitl it may take a couple nonths ot do so. I owuld take it WITH vitamin c to improve absorbtion. Also eating lots of red meats and cooking in cast iron skillets is said ot help as well. >> >> >> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >> http://faqhelp.webs.com/ >> >> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >> http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ >> > Hi guys, I finally received my RT3 result today: > > Reverse T3 *0.37 ug/l 0.09-0.35 > > Please could you help me to interpret this? Guest guest
Thanks, Val! The other test results are a few weeks older than the RT3, so my iron levels have probably changed by now. I have supplemented a lot, as you guys recommended here, so am pretty sure that they are already much better, as I do have more energy these days. I will obviously have to have them tested again, which I am planning to do in about two weeks time. Re my Armour intake, I have also reduced that, so the T3 shouldn't be pooling as much anymore. What do you think should the next step be? Will I have to clear the RT3, or do you think I might be able to carry on with the Armour? My fatigue problems have improved a lot! I am still far from feeling 'normal', but it is sooo much better! What I am really struggling with is my weight! I can't seem to get rid of that at all! What are your thoughts?? Guest guest
Your ratio is 35 but it means nothign with over range RT3. As I said the reason it is that high is because your FT3 is WAY too high from pooling. >> >> >> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >> http://faqhelp.webs.com/ >> >> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >> http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ >> Would you mind helping me with the ratio?
