Guest guest
Hi, Here are the results of my labs. Let me know what you think. TSH-0.0009 low range 0.450-4.500 Thyroxine(T4)-3.2 low range 4.5-12.0 Free Thyroxine index-0.9 low range 1.2-4.9 Reverse T3-102 range 90-350 Triiodothyronine, Fee, Serum-5.0 High range 2.0-4.4 I had other labs out of range: Chloride, serum 109 high range 97-108 Carbon Dioxide, Total-19 low range 20-32 ALT (SGPT) 41 high range 0-40 RBC 4-10 Abnormal range 0-3 Anyway, there they are. Please let me know what you thing after being on T3 only for 5 weeks. I am now 6 weeks in and not feeling too great, but I think it's my adrenals. Thanks! TSH is a bit low indicating that the T3 is building up a bit but an FT3 just outside range says that this is OK. T4 and RT3 are both going down which is what you would expect > >I had other labs out of range: > >Chloride, serum 109 high range 97-108 >Carbon Dioxide, Total-19 low range 20-32 >ALT (SGPT) 41 high range 0-40 >RBC 4-10 Abnormal range 0-3 I don't know enough about those to comment > >Anyway, there they are. Guest guest
Thanks Nick, I will go and review the RT3 website again. With the results that I have, I should stay the course? Do I want to get rid of all the RT3? I'm amazed that my TSH is so low. At the end of April, it was 3.22 and my Total T4 was 11.3 with a range of 4.5-12.5. I'm going to recheck my adrenals after stopping all adrenal supplements for two weeks and see where they are. The other tests that you didn't want to comment on, there is one that I'm worried about as it is my liver enzymes. At the end of April is was normal at 15, now it is 41? I'm wondering if it is the elevated T3 that is causing this? It's scary as I do't want to damage my liver. Of course it could be something else entirely. Thanks so much for your help. I was very worrried and now I feel much better. I also went and reviewed Val's labs that were done in June of this year and I'm not too far from where she is, so I guess I'm doing okay. Thanks again!!! Beckey
Guest guest
The only reason your body would be calling for TSH is to stimulate the production of T4 in order to convert it to T3. Since you're getting the T3 by supplementation, your body doesn't need to create more T4, and therefore doesn't need to call for TSH. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge!
