Guest guest
Thank you all for your reponses and I have followed your advice to push forward. Turns out we're getting PT for my daughter (torticollis) and I scheduled an appointment with CIRS to see if my daughter would benefit from a band. Depending on their findings maybe the pediatrician will take us more seriously. It annoys me that (parents) we're the ones who are making the diagnosis when the doctors are suppose too. Maybe I should look into getting another pediatrician. Thanks again for the help and info. -elizabeth f
Guest guest
It is really hard to find a ped who is plagio aware. I think it only happens after they have patients wearing helmets/bands then they finally get it. Until then you hear dumb things like " it will correct itself by the time he's 3 " .... Unfortunately doctors seem really uneducated about this, inspite of the huge rise in plagio since the Back To Sleep campaign and its success. If your ped gives you the Rx once you have the data I would probably stay. However if they refuse, are rude, think they know best... then I would change doctors. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > Thank you all for your reponses and I have followed your advice to push > forward. Guest guest
Let us know how your appointment with CIRS goes. Which location are you going to? If you need a new ped post back here where you are located and I bet someone can recommend one. We've had lots of people from the Bay Area get banded at CIRS so there must be some pro-band doctors out there.
