Guest guest
If you aren't able to have a friend help with your 2 older ones, then I would wait a week and just go to your local CT next Monday and try not to worry about it. If you can get help for the older children, then it may be worth making the 3 hour trip each way to get the band adjusted. I know personally I wouldn't want to make that trip without my husband or a friend. Good luck in your decision. lisa > > Hi! > > I am torn about what to do. Guest guest
when my dd had her band she would scratch her head when it was off for cleaning. I've heard of other babies doing this too - is that the kind of cut your baby has? I think I put a little neosporin on it.If so I would let it heal a little, then try the band again (but keep your eye on it). What we ended up doing was lots of distraction and playing while the band was off to avoid the scratching. if she had a toy in each hand she couldn't scratch herself. take care. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > Hi! > > I am torn about what to do. Guest guest
My daughter got the same thing after being in the hospital and not wearing the helmet and then having an adjustment w/out her there. (She wasn't allowed in places where kids were since they were worried about her catching anything after having RSV and secondary pnemonia.) I put antibiotic cream and one of those round bandaids on the ear and it healed in 2 days (we didn't wear the helmet until it healed b/c we could see where it rubbed). I then loosened the band until we could get back to CT to prevent her ear from rubbing again. This week our OT at CT trimmed it so it wouldn't touch that ear and we are good to go. 5 month old daughter in Doc Band for 4 weeks now - Dallas Texas > > Hi! > > I am torn about what to do.
