My son just graduated from his DOC band last month. After our consultation we had debated about putting him in a band. After we made the decision to put him in the band we were sure that it was the right decision. 10 years down the road we didn't want to regret not putting him in the band when we had the chance. If you have the chance to put your daughter in the band, I would do it. You wont regret that decision. Best of luck.... Keep us posted. :)

[sPAM] Mild Brachycephaly to treat or not to treat

My daughter, is 3 days shy of 7mo old. We had our eval at Cranial Tech. today for Plagio. has mild brachycephaly. She meets the criteria to band, but just barely. The back of he head is flat (more noticable when her hair is wet), but she has a ton of hair which hides it well. We need to make the decision on whether or not to band. My fear is, if we do not band, her brachycephaly may not improve, with normal developmental milestones, to a point where her head looks "normal" and by then, it will be too late to correct. Has anyone else had to make this decision for a mild case? Are there any other options out there? Thank you, Kelli

I completely agree with Lorie. If you think you may regret it if

her head doesn't improve, then I would definitely band. To me,

there where to many " what if's " if I didn't band (i.e. will he have

headaches or TMJ or will helmets be an issue, etc.)
