Guest guest
Hi group: Haven't been connected to the group in a long time and miss corresponding with you all. I have been taking Enbril for the last four months and it seems to be helping the side effects are less than when I took Methotrexate. However, I have had a new problem and I am wondering if others with RP have experienced this. I have had lung involvement for the past year and half. I gradually become short of breath over a period of a week or so. I cough, etc., but it comes on gradually. Last Saturday night I was breathing fine and all of a sudden I started coughing, that barking coughing and within 15 minutes or so I was having a hard time breathing. I took 60 mg of prednisone and it helped within an hour or so. My question is, has anyone else with RP had the lung symptoms come on so fast. Thanks hope someone will be able to help. Guest guest
Oh Donna, so good to hear from you girlfriend. How's the ocean????? I'm sorry I can't help with your question, I have SOB but no real breathing or coughing problems. I'm sure there will be input from the rest, I just had to respond because it's so good to hear from you again. Glad you are having some improvement with the Enbrel. I'm going to ask to come off the metho next week, doing no good. Hope all is well at your house, and again really missed you and glad to hear from you. Guest guest
Hi , It feels good to be back with the group. I needed to take a break as I needed time to adjust to being a person who is sick often. The weather here has been like fall. Most days are close to the 60s. I was on the Methotrexate for over a year and I think that it helped me but I was always tired. The Enbril doesn't affect me so bad. I'm lucky to have insurance to pay as it cost almost $200.00 per injection. I take 2 injections per week. Stay in touch, Donna CA
