I have no information on the CST, but my DS's condition sounds similar

to your DD's. He is in his first band-started at 8 months old with 22

mm CVA. I was looking at his band tonight and the one ear starts

almost as far back as the other side ends-WOW! Taking a good look at

the band upside down was a real eye-opener. Anyway, His left eye is

bigger than his right. Was your daughter banded for 10 months, or is

she 10 months old now? At what age did she start? If not banded for 10

months for how long? My twin DS's have been in their bands about 6

weeks and I see improvement in head shape, but not in the asymmetry.

How long did it take to see improvement there? Which CT did you go

to? We go to Paramus.

Thanks,

First, I spelled myofascial incorrectly.... oops!

My DD was banded when she was almost 5 months old. She was in her

first band for 6 weeks, second for 8 weeks and has been in her third

for 8 weeks now. Her head shape looks pretty good - especially the

flat spot she had on the back right hand side of her head. She now

needs more growth on her left forehead. I can't recall how long it

took for the improvement in her overall head shape - it's been a

gradual thing. But, it does look pretty good now. Did CT tell you

how long they think your DS would be in this band? Do they think he

may need a second? I've heard that facial symmetry is the last to

correct, but am not quite sure how long that would be. My DD has

been in her bands now for almost 22 weeks now. But, she has come a

long way!
