Guest guest
Keep trying to do it with the band on. We banded our son and he was sort of rolling before he had it and when he got the band he regressed a bit for a week or two. Then he got the hang of doing it even better using the helmet to help him cushion his rolls. That hour with the band off is usually taken up by cuddles and bath time and cleaning the helmet so I wouldnt stress about doing tummy time then. Keep working on it with the helmet on and he will eventually get it. Tort can be painful to them so as human nature he will resist what hurts. Try to get down on the floor yourself and get at eye level with a toy he likes. This may help. Try for about 10 minutes then give it a rest. Good luck. He will do it. It may just take a bit longer for him due to the tort. My son is now tort free, plagio free and crawling and pulling up at 9 months. You can do it. Keep trying. Guest guest
My son has tort also and you should try it both ways. My son was 8 months old when he got his helmet and was rolling around but not crawling. I was afraid my sons helmet would interfere with his progress but it hasn't at all. He's almost 11 months old now and he rolls over, does an army crawl and just pulled himself up to standing for the first time the other day. We are hoping he will be walking before his helmet comes off because he's so used to rolling around on our wood and tile floors that he's really going to have a sore head when he doesn't have to wear his helmet anymore. > > My 7 mth still isnt rolling over due to the tort, he hates tummy > time. we get his helmet/band today, yeah! anyhow, showld we continue > tummy time with the helmet/band on or should we incorporate it into > his 1 hour with the helmet/band off? suggestions and recommendations > welcome. thanks!! >
Guest guest
My son doesn't have Tort but I haven't changed his activities at all with the band. I just treat him like nothing is different so that is what I did. Tammy Sabs <princessluau@...> wrote: Keep trying to do it with the band on. Guest guest
My son has tort and he get his band when he is almost 6.5 months old. Before he get the band, he is not rolling over too. In fact we are so concern that, during his six-month well visit, the doctor has to assure us that he is fine. Well, once he get his band, he start to roll over, few week later he learn to crawl. And one week ago, he manages to pull himself up.It seem that the band 'help' him to reach all the milestones... Before he get his band, we have been doing repo, lots of activities to strengthen his muscle. Once he start wearing the band, we still continue with most of his usual activities. No special treatment, this can help him to adjust faster wearing the band, and hopefully when he graduate, no regression.
