How do you pick the most experienced ortho?

My dr FINALLY wrote us a prescription for the Starband. She is sending

us to a different place than the one that I had originally researched.

So now I know there are two guys who do this in the Amarillo area(there

could be more I guess), how do I know which is the best one? Of course

their offices give them glowing references...can Orthoamerica tell me

which one of these guys orders more Starbands...

And another thing...the first place I researched, the guy said the

helmet plus all the appts would cost 1350.00 total. This second place

the dr sent us said it will cost 1800.00. Why such a difference, my

husband thinks we should go with the more expensive person because he

says in medical cases, cheaper is NOT always better....what are your

thoughts on this??
