My Rheumy visit

Hello All,

Well I said I'd let you know how my Rheumy visit went so here goes. I took a

list of things that I wanted to talk to him about and while I was there he

got a call to go to the hospital. Well I thought that would be the end of my

visit, but no he took the time to listen to me and answered all my

questions. He said that the blood tests indicate that I am getting better,

so the metho is working. My hemoglobin is up (didn't know it was down) and

my sed rate is 27. Up slightly probably because of lowering prednisone. The

reason I feel so bad is because of the side effects from the medication. He

gave me a script for Celebrex and folic acid as well. I will taper down

slower on the pred now until I get to 10mgs and I will stay there until I

see him next. I need to stay on the metho so he will talk to my GP about

disability so I won't have to worry about going out and looking for work

until the spring. He wants me to rest and get better. I feel better just

knowing that the metho is working and that I will get the rest I need. So

all and all it was a good visit.
