At the first sign of colds, I give this to both my children and myself. It's been working pretty good for us. Ezzie INFECTION PROTOCAL given to me by Maureen McDonnell 1. ECHINACEA (liquid) Use herbal tincure only (non-alcohol base) instead of capsules. For extra effectiveness, you may choose a brand combining Echinacea with Golden Seal. Adult dose- 10-20 drops in juice 3 to 4 times a day for 1-2 weeks. Child's dose- 2-10 drops 3 to 4 times a day 2. GARLIC (odorless) Garlic provides powerful antiviral and antibacterial properties. Choose Shaklee or Kyolic brand odorless garlic. Base your dose on what is recommended on the label. Adult dose- 3 times a day. Child dose-1-2 times a daily. 3. VITAMIN C (buffered, powered) As this vitamin is not stored in your body, it is best to spread your intake of vitamin C throughout day. That is why powdered vitamin C mixed in a liquid workd best. Adult dose- twice daily, mix 1000-3000 mg in 1 qt water and sip hourly. Child's dose- start with a low amount and work up to the higher doses gradually as too much Vitamin C can lead to intestinal cramping or diarrhea. Once daily, mix 100 mg-1000mg in 1-2 cups juice and let your child sip throughout the day from this supply. 4. CARROT JUICE(freshly made) Freshly prepare one 8 oz glass of ORGANIC carrot juice for yourself daily while you are fighting off an infection.
