Guest guest
I would just try to stay as busy as you can rest of the week to keep the nervousness at bay. We were fortunate that we had a vacation planned in between when my son got scanned for his band and when we picked it up so were preoccupied and didn’t think too much about it. What also helped was getting ready to decorate the band. I went out and bought a bunch of different stickers so we would be ready to decorate as soon as we got it (our band was blue so we didn’t need to worry about painting it). Also, go out and get everything else that you will need to take care of the band – 90% rubbing alcohol and a small, soft toothbrush to clean the band, good smelling shampoo to wash your daughter’s hair with (Suave and L’Oreal make some great smelling one – Strawberry, Blueberry, etc.). Consider picking up some memory foam to put on your daughter’s crib mattress to make sleeping a bit more comfortable (can be found at Target in a twin-size for appx $40). Let us know how everything goes on Friday! Hey all, Nikki, Daddy, and I are going to our Starband fitting on Friday! I'm excited to get started, but I'm REALLY nervous. She just started sleeping thru the night, so I'm guessing that will be over for a little bit. She's such a happy baby. With all of the PT and now the helmet, I'm worried that it will have an effect on her personality. How do you get thru this nervousness?? It's killing me!
