I tried to get an appointment with Dr. Vicari and I have good insurance

and they still said there was a $300 fee up front for the scan...I

ended up going with CT in Glenview anyway...

went to see both Dr. Vicari and Cranial Tech. We were also told that

we would have to pay $300 for the scan to tell us if we needed band

and they said he couldn't bill our insurance for the scan.

When we went to Cranial Tech, they took photos of our son, gave us a

copy, and they were able show us large amount of before and

pictures. My main thing was, I wanted to make sure if I did the band

that my baby's head changed so I really liked the before and after

pictures. The therapist at Cranial Tech even called our ped while

we were there and got the ok to teach us repostioning and neck

stretches.

Our insurance tired to send us to about 5 other doctors. They would

not approve us to see Dr. Vicari, so we just got a referal from our PCP

to get the DOCband and have our appointment at Cranial Tech tomorrow.

It took one day for the referal to go through for CT, but took 3 months

of run around with trying to see Dr. Vicari...I am just glad to be

seeing someone.
