Iron binds most things it contacts inthe digestive system, so I would

try to avoid it with HC too even though I have not heard of a direct

problem with it, it is stil besto to take ti an hour or so after the HC

dose.

Zinc and Selenium compete with iron - I've found taking both of those can drop

iron levels. It's best to separate Zinc and Iron by a couple of hours. I add a

digestive enzyme to help the gut and increase absorption.

My daughter recently had the IV iron and her ferritin went from 24 before to 161

3 weeks after the IV! She had tummyaches on the day after the IV and it has

taken a couple of weeks for her to notice energy levels improving, which was

difficult because she was hoping for immediate improvement.

I read that you need Vitamin A to help get the iron into the bone marrow and

into healthy red blood cells. Low Vitamin A is pretty common with hypothryoid

because conversion from betacarotene to Vitamin A is slowed.
