Guest guest
I think you can still put stickers on a clear helmet - just check with the ortho. There are various kinds but some definitely have stickers. Orthomerica makes some clear helmets (starlight). And there are a few local ones too in various places. One important thing - does the ortho have good experience and references? There are some good places, but you should check into it to make sure that you're not wasting time. A few people have gone with a certain helmet or ortho and not had results (or worse the head has gotten worse). As for the heat you may need to spend more time indoors than usual. My daughter wore her band in the summer, but our area is not normally that hot. Somethings you need to do are cool off the car before putting her in (open windows and turn on A/C), dressing lighter, and staying out of the sun. Babies adjust pretty well, its not bad at all. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > we got the approval from our insurance and go in tuesdy for casting, i > am not that nervous about the casting i just hope she does not freek > out. the helmet she is geting is made localy, it is clear, not white > like the others so can i still decorate it? has anyone else had a clear > helmet and did you decorate it? also she will be wearing the helmet > this summer, we live in utah so it can get very hot, i am nervous about > her getting to hot does anyone have some suggestions on keeping her > comffy? thank you >
Guest guest
My daughter was fitted in her Starlight band last Thursday. This is her third band because she was getting VERY hot in her Hanger band (which was working with the exception of the rashes). It sounds like Gabbie has a Starlight band, also?? My daughter's band is clear, as well. She still sweats, but the band is very easy to remove and put on. I take it off every few hours, wipe it down, wipe her head and let it cool, and replace the helmet (all in a matter of 5 to 10 minutes). This keeps her from getting too hot. I really don't think you will have a problem, though. However, you will need to expect a stinky head! Ha! Go ahead and use stickers and mod podge. I have not decorated, yet but I plan to get it done soon. Good luck! I'm sure you will have no trouble. Wichita, KS > > I'm not familiar with the band you are talking about - Is there foam inside?? Guest guest
Hi , let us know if your daughter does better with starlight and how much correction she gets. It sounds like you have been through a lot to find something that will work for her. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > > > I'm not familiar with the band you are talking about - Is there > foam inside??
