My son is 11 months and we are going in for our casting/consultation

for the DOCband tomorrow. I was wondering did anyone else start late

and did it work well?

Thanks

Hi Jenni

My son started his Doc Band at the age of 14 mo and still got pretty

good correction. He has before & after pics that C.T. took as a photo

study if your are interested in seeing them.

They are in the C Folder

Jenni-

I would say you're in good shape. My son was just banded at 17 months.

We saw a little bit of correction in one spot the first week. This is

only his third week in the band, so I can't speak for final results.

But I would say an 8 month jump on our timeline can only benefit, not

hinder, the process. Especially if you're going to CT. We chose them

over a local StarBand provider because they have tons of experience

with older babies. Which location are you going to? Good luck!

We had our meeting and casting today and Jack will get his band in

two weeks. I am nervous about how he will do and what will happen,

but I hope all will turn out well.

Thanks for all the support and advice.

Just wanted to let you know that I was a late starter with my son. He started

at the end of 14 months. They said to expect 0-20% improvement by 2 years

old.....we had him scanned yesterday and he is already up to 25% improvement

went from 12.2 mm assymetrical to 9.8 mm....so as the orthoist put it...he is by

no means symmetrical but he is definetly improving!! Good luck and have hope!

At your son's age does he not try to remove the DOC band? Are they secured more than the Starband, which can be easily pulled off. My grandson has been in two Starbands, the second one was an ill fit and by the time it was properly adjusted he would just take it off. He is now 15 months old and we are hoping that maybe the DOC band might be the answer. Please anybody out there help with your answers.

Any feedback on the Western Chicago location for the DOC band will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

We started at 18.5 months. My son's been in the DOC band for 3 months now and we've seen a lot of improvement. He'll been done in about 3 weeks. While I know we could've seen better results had we known to

band earlier, I'm still happy with the results. > > > >> > > > My son is 11 months and we are going in for our > > casting/consultation > > > > for the DOCband tomorrow. I was wondering did anyone else
