Guest guest Posted March 15, 2008 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 Yes, I would check with your STARband provider to see if it is possible for them to make a band given how mild the asymmetry is. They should be able to tell you if there are enough holding points. There have been people in this group who have banded at 8 mm so it is entirely possible to do so. What it really comes down to is how you feel about your daughters head shape. If you want to see some correction than by all means pursue the band. Hopefully the neurosurgeon will write the prescription for you. Is your paediatrician willing to write it? All you need is the prescription from the doctor, it doesn’t necessarily need to be from a specialist.
