I just want to thank all of you for your words of encouragement and for

sharing your experiences. We made the necessary calls this morning and

now we just need to get pre-approval from the insurance company and to

see how much they will cover before we make the apppointment for the

casting.

I was just wondering if anyone ever felt like it was their fault, like

maybe if I tried harder to reposistion him I wouldn't be in this boat?

I feel like we tried every thing humanly possible. I guess I am having

an extreme case of guilt.

I know exactly how you feel, and I think I'll always feel guilty for

not doing something sooner. I felt like because Jake was my second

child, there was nothing I didn't know. Boy was I wrong. First

torticollis, which I had never heard about and didn't even notice

until the ped told me, and then the flat spot from hell. I listened

to all the doctors tell me over and over that it would correct

itself, so I let it go. And now it may never correct 100% because I

waited so long to do something about it. So that will always be my

biggest regret. But at least I can say I did do something. It's

great that you're doing something about it as well. It will

definitely be worth it and the guilt does lessen over time,

especially once you see their head shape changing for the better.
