No doubt you were given Provera - (a little white pill as I recall). I had premature ovarian failure and no periods for ages and ages as in my early 30's. Worried the docs so much, that after about 6 months or so they'd give me the Provera to induce periods. I didn't know at the time that I had thyroid problems (hypo) and hypothalamus problems causing the hormone imbalances. If you are curious, you can google Provera and its side effects.Dustyblueeberri@... wrote: I agree that progesteron sucks! When I first had my burning itching episodes 7 years ago, the doc I saw changed my birth

control pill the the Progeterone mini pill. I just listened to him, had no clue about hormones at the time. MY burning increased 10 fold! I went off of it after about a month and am terrified of progesterone! I got tested last year and I tested low DHEA and testosterone. Another odd thing, when I was trying to get pregnant with my daughter 19 years ago, I went off of the birth control pill and I was not getting my periods. I thought every month, WOW I am PG! But I would go to the doc and he would say NO you arent. Then he would give me a pill to give my period. Well I did this 3 or 4 times and the next time I didn't get my period I said NO I am not going to take that pill and guess what? I was PG. I was 2 months pg before I figured out that i was PG! SO...what is odd now is, my daughter is 17 and has BAD acne cyst, has belly fat and wants to sleep all of the time. She has chin hairs too. I just took her to get tested and of course the

doctor said her hormones are FINE, but I know they are NOT. It does not seem like a coincidence that I was taking some hormone pill to get my period and then my daughter seems to have hormone issues. Also she was born with this small "hole by her ear" They said her ear did not completely grow together, but it is very small, smaller than the head of a pin. BUT now that she is 17 she told me the other day that she has noticed that the right side of her body is smaller than the left, her ear, her breast and her foot. I just think this all has to do with that pill I was taking! I do not know what it was, but I am sure it was some type of progesterone.See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.
