Guest guest
Val, You said you use the DaVinci SF syrups? I found an online source for those with cheap shipping, and would like to know the best flavors for coffee. And most important---does your expensive online coffee come in decaf? No hurry and no problem if you don't have time to answer. I know this is frivolous, but I NEED my coffee, as I have so very few food pleasures left...........getting some enjoyment into life is important, isn't it? LOL. thanks, sol wrote: > And I cna > be very stubborn when i really disliek something that screws up my > EXPENSIVE organic whole bean coffee I mail order. > >

LOL > This is one of the things I wonder - Mercola goes on about the bad effects of aspertame and splenda, and he's probably right - BUT he also advocates a way of eating that is certainly healthier - no/litle HFCS, drastically reduced reined grain/sugar, more vegetables, fiber, meat, vitamin suppplements, HIS supplements (that he'll gladly sell to you While I'm sure aspertame and possibly Splenda are bad for anyone, how do we know that they aren't WORSE on a standard low-fat, high-carb, HFCS laden, Selenium deficient (probably), other-thing deficient (probably) diet than on something more natural (natural meaning closer to 20,000 years ago when we were evolving, or perhaps even older than that - further down toward the beginning of the evolution of mammels as an animal class)? The average retention rate for Splenda is 15%, meaning that not all of it is excreted (at least not in the time frame the researchers looked at, which was probably onlu 24-36 hours - it might be excreted later when the body figures out it really CAN " T do anything with it). But is that lower in people who take selenium supplements for instance, and have fully saturated GPx (glutathione peroxidase - potent antioxidant enzymes) and REx enzyemes (I think it's REx - various enzymes involved in the body's chemical reduction systems)? Or in people who don't eat a high-carb diet, and so don't have as much free-radical damage to deal with in the first place? Or who already drink non-chlorinated water, and so don't have as much chlorine to deal with? So I'm left wondering - is aspertame and/or splenda perhaps less dangerous to me because I low-carb? I have often thought it was weird I get no headaches, joint pain or other symotms when I iundulge in a little Nutrasweet or Splenda. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
