Barb,

Being supermoms doesn't mean you can't have an accident..All you guys working

towards this goal are the greatest...

Hebrew national low fat hot dogs are good and have as the lowest denominator

Sodium Nitrate.. I don't see gluten in this products..ingrediants..

But its a regular sized hot dog.

It happens to us all..believe me...serenaid from Klaire labatory is good to

have on hand...IMHO

I saw that Alyssa could have the Hebrew National all beef hot dogs,

so I went to the store and made sure I really scanned all of the

ingredients. I was sure they were GFCF, and I was excited to be able

to offer her a hot dog. But as I was tossing them into my cart, I

happened to see the Hebrew National all beef cocktail weiners and

thought how " cute " they would be because they were just her size.

She ate three of them happily and then started acting strangely. By

morning, she had the same rash I hadn't seen in months, she was

banging her head and freaking out, crying and itching. I thought she

got a cheese curl from one of the other kids or something but it

seemed so weird to me that she had regressed back to her pre-diet

self. I just happened to think over what she had really eaten and by

the grace of God I went and looked at the label. It said plain as

day Gluten right on there. My heart sank and I started crying and

calling myself a criminal. It is still freaking me out that I just

took for granted that the cocktail weiners were the same, and that I

put my child through this terrible reaction. It did prove to me and

the doctor's that she is without a doubt in need of the GFCF diet.

Now the doctor wants to rule out Celiac disease. I still believe

that the reaction to the MMR shot caused this inability to breakdown

proteins. I am going to ask that my husband and I are are tested to

see if we are carriers of the Celiac gene, before we even think about

putting her through anything else. If we are not carriers, she

couldn't possibly have it, and they will have to accept my MMR

reaction! Thanks for reading/listening, I just wanted to post so

that no other Mom has to feel the guilt I am having for such a small

oversight. I thought I had it all down! This has really deflated my

GFCF supermom balloon! Hope all your kids are well.

Barb R.
