Chat rooms,

Thanks for your tip about aol Caryn. I was on aol when I lived in

England. Now I just have the aol Instant Messenger, and I don't think

I can access chat rooms with that. Plus, as I said in a previous

e-mail, I would prefer that people don't have to download a program,

unless everybody agrees with the idea. Thanks anyway.

Welcome to the list !!! I have tried the diettalk chat tonight.

Very interesting, and I found a few nice people in there. I

encourage everybody to go there from time to time, EXCEPT during OUR

chat time, of course ! :-) This is not what we are looking for

though, as it is not a private chat room. Tonight there were two

people pre-op rny, one very nice girl who has successfully lost 25 lbs,

and kept them off, just by exercising, and a lady completely desperate

because she was keeping gaining weight.

I have sent an e-mail to Onelist to ask them whether they have chat

rooms facilities. Details for our chat will follow tomorrow.

(Life span)

I saw my doctor today, and asked him about the life span. As we

already know, he told me that we have no back up so far, as the first

bands have been placed 15 years ago, " only " . But he also told me

that, except in case of complications, there will probably be no reason

for someone the have the band replaced ever.

Good to hear that you're back, that everything went well, and even that

they didn't have to do it open ! All the best in your weight loss

!!!

I must admit that, even though I've had my op in Switzerland, like

Barbara, I was put right away on pureed food. I'm not saying that

they were right doing so, but it's what happened. Even my very first

meal at the hospital was pureed food ...
