Guest guest
Because Ferritin is a poor lab to use for iron levels. It can be raised from inflammation. With your tonsils flaring uop that is inflammation, so maybe they were worse on last labs, and now improved enough that your ferritin went back down. I thought your ferrtin came up MUCH too quickly anyway to be a real level. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
My electrolytes + iron from 2 days ago:Potassium 4.0 (3.6 - 4.6)Sodium 139 (137 - 145)Magnesium 0.95 (0.71 - 0.91)Calcium 2.55 (2.15 - 2.51)Iron 11.4 (9 - 34)Ferritin 31 (32 - 355)Well, I feel worse NOW than I did in the past 2 months WHILE my Ferritin was at 65-75 in those two months. I also don't have CRP nor very high whites at the moment. How can I have an inflammation if those are ok?Also, an interesting development: My Serum Iron was at 30. Now it's 11.4. How can it change like that? Isn't a high serum iron proof that the body is absorbing iron? Serum Iron now fell WITH Ferritin. What does THAT mean?I did change iron brand about 2 months ago... First I saw the iron rise with the new iron.. Now, it's down again.......Can simply drawing too much blood to this to me? I do have a high hemoglobin, so...WHAT do I do now? Just simply change to my old iron brand then take more iron? I take iron once daily, around 11 pm, to midnight before I go to bed, with 1000 mg Vitamin C, and a dash of orange juice.Should I always take iron on empty stomach even if chelated iron says "you can take chelated iron with or without food" !If I take iron twice daily I will get a skewed shchedule with ERFA Thyroid/T3 cause I need to wait 5 hours instead of 4 in between the doses of those due to iron.*confused and sad*Because Ferritin is a poor lab to use for iron levels.
