My daughter had an infusion that used 2 ampoules of Ferrous Sulphate - not sure how much was in each ampoule - we had a script from the doctor, bought it at the pharmacy and took it along to the infusion clinic. That was given over about 3 hours. She kept having about 100mg daily of the BlueBonnet iron and using cast iron cookware. Her levels went from around 20 up to 161 when she was checked 3 weeks after the IV (she had 4 days iron free before the test).

Can anyone tell me what dosage to start out with and how many times aweek and how long I should do the IV iron before I re-test. I know it is the better way and I have a MD that will be able to do it. I just need to tell him dosage, and duration. Can anyone help me on this.
