My daughter (7 months) started DOC band treatment yesterday.

We're hoping to connect with other moms in the Northern Virginia area

whose child is currently wearing a DOC band. We'd also love to hear

any tips to ease our transition into the treatment. Thanks!

Hi-

How is she doing thus far? I hope well. My son is also in the DocBand

and adjusted very quickly, much to my surprise. Just keep her cool and

try not to stress about it. I believe that the baby picks up on your

stress, so if you pretend it's no big deal, hopefully she'll see it

the same way.

We actually moved from Bowie, MD to Raleigh, NC almost 4 years ago (I

worked in Washington, DC). If we were still in the DC area, we would

be going to your CT and could meet up! I hope you find other moms in

the DC/N. Va. area to commiserate with!

Hi! My husband and I live in andria. How is the band working out?

We've decided to get a band for our 5-month-old daughter after three

months of repositioning. We've been to CT twice already for

measurements and are (hopefully) going back next Tuesday for a scan.

I'm going to ask our pediatrician tomorrow for a prescription. I'm a

little concerned that she is not going to write it though, b/c she

said she doesn't like the " molds " (her term, not mine). She made that

comment at my daughter's 4-month well visit. I'm not sure exactly

what she meant by it... But, if you don't mind my asking-- what

pediatrician do you go to?
