Guest guest
Hi, I just got labs back for the first time since July... In July, on 3 grains of Armour and 27.5 mg HC, my numbers were: TSH .005 (.35-5.5) Free T3 3.6 (2.3-4.2) Free T4 1.35 (.61-1.76) AM Cortisol 27.9 (3.1-22.4) (I had taken my HC that morning) Glucose 79 (65-99) My current labs, on 3.5 grains Armour and 27.5 mg HC (I went up to 32.5 but began weaning down after my temps stabilized. Speaking of temps, on 3.5 grains Armour my temps finally started averaging 98.4-98.6) TSH .005 (.35-5.5) Free T3 5.4 (2.3-4.2) (My last dose of Armour was midafternoon the day before) Free T4 1.43 (.61-1.76) AM Cortisol 11.4 (4.3-22.4) (I did not take my HC that morning; last dose was 4 pm the day before) Glucose 87 (65-99) All other numbers in the metabolic panel stayed about the same. My questions: 1) Do I need to worry at all about my T3 being that high? My gut feeling is that it's okay, since I show no signs or symptoms of tissue overstimulation, in fact I've finally started feeling like I've " arrived " at the optimal dose. Like I said, my temps have been at or near 98.6 for several weeks now. I'm also taking Iodoral. 2) Does the AM Cortisol reading mean anything at all? I know that testing is pretty worthless while still on HC... 3) Do I need to worry at all about my glucose numbers coming up? I know I'm still well within range but my labs in December 06, February 07, and July 07 all had the same glucose level: 79. Does it mean anything that it has now come up to 87? Thanks so much for your time and input! Heidi
Guest guest
It is perfectly normal for glucose to fluctuate thta much. Means nothing. If it was 110+ I would begin to be concerned about high cortisol. Sounds liek you are doing well. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
