I read of an incident that was documented in Psychology Today several years back about a woman who was in the hospital for a heart condition. The doctor was in the room with some of the Medical Students to check on her and a little bit later they started talking about her in a range that she could hear them (yep they didn't go far enough away to have this conversation). The doctor said that with her condition she wouldn't live very long (but yet this lady had the will to live until). Yep, the lady heard the comment that was made and died during the night.
