Guest guest
Hi Kristy, I don’t think I can answer your question without doing research myself. Neuropathy, by definition is a disease or abnormality of the nervous system/any and all disease or malfunction of the nerves. “If one feels no pain it can mean that the nerve is damaged”. I have never heard that statement and I don’t know what it means. I know originally Dr. Conway told me that my pudendal nerve was probably not just irritated, but compressed, but not damaged. There are three words there that present three different scenarios’, but they all fall into a condition that causes neuropathy. There are so many puzzle pieces to this condition. A friend just had the surgery done whose primary cause of pain was rectal, but she was only compressed on one side. Another friend who is having surgery this coming Wednesday has all her pain in the clitoral area. She has constant electrical zapping 24/7. I can’t imagine that as it is so different from my symptoms. So I know you are always talking about your puzzle pieces, and that is what PN/PNE is all about. nne The part about From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Kristy Sokoloski Sent: Friday, September 21, 2007 6:56 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: [sPAM] RE: [sPAM] Re: what/who to believe?-nne nne, How is entrapment different from actual neuropathy? The reason I ask is because of something that Dr. Conway told me that I thought was interesting. When I told him that the tech for the EMG felt the clitoral base it didn't hurt at all, he said that. I thought that was interesting. I will probably have to do more research on nerve entrapment because I know that my Pain Management doctor mentioned the possibility to me but from the point of my genitofemoral nerve. But was curious to know what you found out about the difference between the two. Kristy __________________________________________________________ Check out the hottest 2008 models today at Yahoo!
