Not vulvodynia after all?! (venting about PT)

So, i just started seeing a new physical therapist (Kathh Duff in

Lebanon, IN). She was really thorough, and seeing completely

convinced that my scoliosis is the reason i have PFD (which i'm

inclined to believe-my curve is in my lower back, and my hips are

really unlevel..that's not even a word). She also said that my

muscles were so rigid, and in so much pain, that it's become a

long-term problem that will take a long time to fix, at least six

months (tho she wants to see me twice a week for them, and i can only

make it once a week, and she's out of network, so we'll see). And all

that's really hard to hear, because she also said i'm not allowed to

bellydance anymore, and that's basically the only exercise i get

anymore, and my passion!

Okay, but that aside. She also says that I should completely ignore

my vulvodynia diagnosis, because I just have a " typical case of the

muscle screw-ups " . She says she's treated women with vulvodynia

before, but she didn't use much of any lubricant for the exam, and

" barreled on in, " if that's not too graphic.

So, I'm just wondering if anyone else here has heard anything similar,

or thinks there's any validity to this? I'm really upset about it-why

have i been expensively treating this if i 'don't have it'?? :( hrmph.
