Guest guest
I did some research on anorexia for my neighbor a couple of years ago. She stopped eating for a little while and when we tried to get her to start eating again, she said the food tasted horrible and she refused. She developed a zinc deficiency which I was told was common with anorexia and your doctor can do an extremely simple test to check and see if this is the case. Your doctor puts a drop on the tongue and the person has to say if they can taste anything or not. It may not be extremely simple to our kids, but there may be another way. My neighbor is elderly and she could reason and talk at the time and could understand what we wanted her to do. Anyway, supposedly when you fix the zinc deficiency then you can overcome the anorexia. We never found out due to a series of strokes that my neighbor had. She is now fed through a tube in her stomach and can't speak very well due to paralysis of the throat. > Someone also mentioned anorexia.
