Guest guest
wow, margery, (sorry for the name sp://) thank you so much for putting that post together for me... your posts are incredibly thorough, and those links were extremely helpful. when i took iron supps before, i noticed that my candida would flare, despite taking betainHCL and probiotics... the followup in that particular thread was really useful. i've been pairing lactoferrin with my iron, vit c, and beef liver as i've started back up. i didnt think about taking the lactoferrin with meals.... think i might try that too. i dont know if it was a lab error or not, but i was supplementing iron too heavily i believe... i think about 270mg on some days... so i am going to keep it at 120-180mg/day and see where my iron is a month from now. i hate to post this here, but i cant seem to post on the NTHadrenals group for whatever reason, been trying all week and no success. anyway, you are on hc, so maybe you have experience with this. i have been getting this symptom, in the late afternoon/evening times... my skin is really sensitive and burning, (BUT i dont get flushed, hot or red with along with it) any posts that come up with this symptom of burning skin associate it with high cortisol.... well, based on that, on the fact that my temps had been pretty stable from day to day, and the fact that sometimes in the morning i overheat, and get waves of agitation/irritability i wondered about high cortisol. so i have been lowering my dose of hc in the past week, 2.5 every couple days... 27.5mg to 22.5mg. but that skin sensitivity/burning feeling has not gone away, actually gotten worse, and neither has the onandoff emotional agitation. and my temps have been getting lower over the past week. i took my temp about an hour ago, and it was 98.0... typically last week they had been running about 99 at this hour. well, i decided to take a dose of 5mg hc to see if they would drop further or come up... and if they dropped then i would think maybe i dont need as much hc .... it came up to 98.3.... my bp right now is sitting 112/73 hr73standing 110/69, hr70. not sure what to think here margery have you (or has anyone else for that matter) heard of burning/ sensitive skin associated with low cortisol? > > > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/43482 > > > > ok, i found a post from val answering someone in a similar situation as me as far as what their iron labs looked like... but i just want to ask if my serum iron and %saturation are pitifully low or just on the low side?? and since my binding capacity is on the low side, val, how much of an iron dose do you recommend i start back on? > > > > i have the blue bonnet iron, and i also have lactoferrin and dessicated beef liver... i think i am going to try a combination of the three, any specific recommendations from anyone? > > > > > > thanks all!!!! > > >
