I fear this may be off topi but I am quite desperate today and I will appreciate

some advice.

I am following the T3-only protocol, rT3 cleared two months ago or so and I am

still trying to find my balance. Done lost of blood tests today, so we'll see.

I have been having slightly high fasting sugar readings (above 100) and I tried

to do everything recomended for Type-2 diabetes. to lower insulin resistance,

but nothing seems to work and I am comming to the realization that I actually

may have LADA (latent autoimmune diabetes in adults), unfortunately everything

fits with this diagnosis and I am testing for antibudies to be sure.

I feel very scared because I feel like autoimmune diseses are taking hold of my

body (I also have hashimoto, of course) and I wonder if there is something I can

do about it.

My doctor wants me on a diet free from gluten and dairy, he believes ( " he knows "

are his words) this prevents the development of autoimmune disease. I do not

have celiac disease (I went through every possible test, including the genetic

ones) and no apparent problems with dairy, but he still believes these products

are " toxic " to everyone.

I think he is building on the hypothesis that autoimmunity starst in the so

called " leaky gut " which allows undigested food to cross the gut wall and get

inside your body. This is believed to disrupt the normal functioning of the

immune system. I have no idea if this hypothesis is at all validated

scientificaly and if this diet really helps with autoimmune disease.

I do not want to go through this restrictions unless there is some sort of

scientific evidence behind it, but I don't even know were to start...

Any imputs will be most welcomed.

Thanks,
