Guest guest Posted September 14, 2008 Report Share Posted September 14, 2008 went to baseball game today UNOS was there promoting donor awareness before the game i met several people who had various kinds of transplants--kidney, heart, liver i was amazed by the number of people who came up to the table and said that they are are organ donors, some of them even took out their driver's licenses to show us how it is listed I did find out that even if they can't use your organs, they might be able to use your tissues so i am thinking about signing up pregame show had a good presentation about organ donation one of the people who threw out the first ball was a young boy, plus or minus 10, who is a transplant recipient, i forget which organ, but he got it from his father they introduced about 5 or 6 organ recipients to the crowd it was very moving and impressive for me yes, there is a light at the end of the tunnel Pink Joyce IPF 3/06 Pennslvania Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
