Guest guest
It's a large, clear bowl with straight sides that sits on a small pedistal. Kinda like a small punch bowl, or I think we used one for a terrarium bowl. If you use one, you can see the layers. I forgot to mention, sometimes it's hard to find already crushed up Heath bars, but you can find the nugat part crushed up pretty easily. That doesn't have the chocolate in it, so I've used those and then added the mini chocolate chips to it. Same difference. The Heath BARS are pretty hard to crunch up. kathi cmvslwmjw wrote: Wow, that sounds incredible!! Cant wait to try it! Guest guest
I just went and looked at the bag of Heath crumbles I have in the pantry. They are just the crumbles. NO chocolate on them. The recipe calls for crunched up Heath bars. They have chocolate on them, but the are VERY difficult to make into small pieces!! That's why I use the bag stuff and add the mini chocolate chips. I don't measure, I just eyeball it. My original recipe calls for 1 pkg Heath bar bits OR 8 1.2-1.4oz size bars. And you'd really get your aggrivations out breaking them down. A hammer maybe? kathicmvslwmjw wrote: If I can not find a bag of mini heath bars, about how many regular size bars would you use?
Guest guest
We lost all our Kmarts too about 4 years ago! There's a really nice Target where the closest Kmart used to be! Much better store! I've always gotten the crushed Heath bars at one of the larger grocery stores though. Never looked for them at Target! I forget they have that kind of stuff. I'm a very compartmentalized person. Groceries at a grocery store, etc... : ) kathi in houstoncmvslwmjw wrote: I like the idea of taking out frusteration on the bars with a hammer. I am going to try to find the pre crushed ones though. We do not have K Mart anywhere near here (Ours went out of business about 4 years ago) but we do have Target so I guess that will be my starting point.> If I can not find a bag of mini heath bars, about how many regular size > bars would you use?> > > > > > > > >
