Guest guest
Sorry if this is an obvious question....but with brachy the helmet can not change the width or lessen it..right? The head will stay the width it tries to make the head grow longer? Is that right? Thank you!! Pack up or back up–use SkyDrive to transfer files or keep extra copies. Learn how. Guest guest
We have a mostly brachy problem, and the assumption is that with every growth spurt it will grow into the areas of open space within the helmet, so no the heat won't flatten on the side, it just won't grow there til the helmet is off. --- Johansson <jennyhjohansson@...> wrote: > > > Sorry if this is an obvious question....but with > brachy the helmet can not change the width or lessen > it..right? Guest guest
Yes, the helmet never shrinks any area of the head (for any head shape). What you do is direct new growth to the less prominent area so the overall proportions improve. If you look at my daughter's before and after you'll see this (including her starscan). She had severe brachy and got good improvement. They are under Our Plagio Babies S/Sydney M. Her head is still wider than normal, but it isn't obvious. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > > > Sorry if this is an obvious question....but with brachy the helmet can not change the width or lessen it..right? Guest guest
You are right. With brachy, the extra width and extra height can not be reduced. But as the head pops out in the back, the extra width is not as noticeable. The helmet does not provide enough pressure to lessen the width of the head but once the head grows longer, you won't notice it was that large.
