You said it better than I did - something doesn't make sense here. Low selenium

is widely recognized as unhealthful.

What is rare (or rarely recognized) is the conversion problem. I already know I

convert T4 into Reverse T3, and that selenium is an active participant in T4

conversion. That's where I'd have to monitor carefully - if selenium

supplementation was making a bad conversion problem worse.

This would not be a concern for anyone taking T3 only, but most people take

either T4 or a T3/T4 combination, so any contributors to conversion problems

would be worth watching out for.

Hi Kathleen: what a great idea. The worsening of one autoimmune attack has to

contribute to the worsening of others. This would also explain why some (few)

people do not show improvement on a gluten-free diet...the fundamental problem

for them is not autoimmune, but something else.
