Guest guest
Okay, so here I am scrutinizing my 6 week old son's head. Despite other people not seeing it (and only being able to see it in certain angles), I think is head is very slightly mis-shappened on the right side. It is definitely not to the point where I would consider a band; however, I don't want it to get there if I can avoid it. Since he was born I've thought that he preferred looking to the right (opposite of my 22 month old DOC grad). Since birth I've been rotating which way I lay his head down, watching how I hold him (which if anything his head would be flat on the left since I am right handed and hold him more often in my right arm but I do try to alternate sides, I limit time in the bouncy seat/swing (and I use the Boppy Noggin Nest each time I put him in those things), and doing lots of tummy time (which he pretty much can hold his head up on his own). He is already such a wiggler. I've been laying him on his side inside a wedge and swaddled during naps; however, he can get himself to his back and then he turns his head how he wants to. Are there are things to try? I really don't think he has tort because he can and does look all the way in both directions. With my 22 month old, it was virtually impossible to get him to willingly turn to the left but I don't see my 6 week old not wanting to turn both ways (he just prefers to look right more often than left). Thanks in advance for the tips.
