Guest guest
Hi , There are quite a few people who have used CST along with a band. I believe CST is similar to OMM. There are also a few who say CST alone has worked for them. THere was one mom on here that posted about it, and had some pics, but the pics were really tiny and she didn't have any before pics. I have never seen any real evidence that CST (or OMM) works on its own). From what I know there are no good peer reviewed studies on this approach. It is fine to combine with banding, or aggressive repo on a young baby, but I know banding works (lots of evidence) and I wouldn't want to miss a chance to band when OMM is not a sure thing. The baby's head became misshapen from having pressure on one side (due to tort the baby prefered to always rest the head on one side causing the brain to grow elsewhere). So to me putting a band on to encourage growth in the flat area makes perfect sense. You would still need therapy to help resolve the tort. This is my opinion and I'm sure that you'll find others who believe in OMM or CST. But I have to tell you that I would be reluctant to use it alone, because I wouldn't want your child's head to remain asymmetric when there is a good chance to fix it. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > Jen, > > Do you happen to have any references that show before and after pictures for > children treated with just Osteopathy?
