Sol,

We resolved this if you catch up on the rest of the messages. Both are

processed primarily in the liver. Any cortisol pill that is. If you take it

under the tongue or a different form like cream, you bypass the liver as the

main route. I sent a link yesterday on a message about this that covers the

processing. Sorry but I can't find it right now but if catch up on messages

you will find it.

Okay, I found what I sent yesterday:

According to this drug website for Cortef it says primarily in the liver:

" Hydrocortisone is metabolized in most tissues, but primarily in the liver

to biologically inactive compounds. The half-life of hydrocortisone may be

prolonged in patients with hypothyroidism. Inactive metabolites are excreted

by the kidneys, primarily as glucuronides and sulfates, but also as

unconjugated products. Negligible amounts are excreted in bile. "
