Guest guest
Sol, We resolved this if you catch up on the rest of the messages. Both are processed primarily in the liver. Any cortisol pill that is. If you take it under the tongue or a different form like cream, you bypass the liver as the main route. I sent a link yesterday on a message about this that covers the processing. Sorry but I can't find it right now but if catch up on messages you will find it. Guest guest
Okay, I found what I sent yesterday: According to this drug website for Cortef it says primarily in the liver: " Hydrocortisone is metabolized in most tissues, but primarily in the liver to biologically inactive compounds. The half-life of hydrocortisone may be prolonged in patients with hypothyroidism. Inactive metabolites are excreted by the kidneys, primarily as glucuronides and sulfates, but also as unconjugated products. Negligible amounts are excreted in bile.
