Guest guest
I never heard of Aricept for Speech but I know it is used in Alzheimer's patients. Which Speech therapist do you use? We are in need of one. Aricept for speech Our Dan Doctor has recommended our 8 year old mostly non verbal son takes Aricept . One every day before bed. He says it helps encourage speech. But we are always reluctant to go with prescription medication . So I wonder if anyone has tried it with their kids with what success and any side effects. He does have a tendency to be aggressive with some chelators and supplements so we are unsure. He is doing intensive speech therapy with some success with a great new therapist but of course it is a slow process and our doctor thinks Aricept will reinforce it. Any advice appreciated . Guest guest
I do not know the effect on kids(it must also have been recommended for kids) but my father was taking Aricept, in the am,(prescribed by his Neurologist, at ) for his Parkinsons/Alzheimers symptoms and the doctor said it could take a couple of months to know whether it is effective.
